Probus Club of Harpenden
Objectives of the Organisation

The Probus Club of Harpenden was founded in 1974 and was one of the first Probus clubs established in the country. Our aim is to provide a meeting place for retired and semi-retired men to get together and enjoy a monthly programme of a convivial lunch and an interesting talk on a variety of subjects from visiting speakers.

We meet on the first Thursday of each month for lunch followed by a speaker at Hammonds End Golf Club. Members arrive around 12.00 noon with lunch starting at 12.30. We are usually finished by 2.45 pm.

Our meetings are relaxed and informal.

Additionally we have a programme of visits to places of interest to which partners and guests are invited. These visits usually include coach transport from Harpenden.

Volunteers/Members Required

At the present time we are actively recruiting new members so if you have just retired or find yourself at a loose end, then why not pay us a visit, there is no commitment and you will be made most welcome.
